MRWIG has arranged the opportunity to be part of the felling and bucking of 10 walnut trees. A logger has been hired and will be demonstrating chainsaw safety and felling practices in a confined space.
Members can assist with the removal of tops, basic chainsaw operation, and ask questions to experienced fellers.
Please bring a sack lunch and water. Closed toed shoes and pants are recommended. If you wish to participate in the cutting activities, please bring your own saw and personal protective equipment (ear, eye, and head protection, plus chaps).
